Our work depends on a highly skilled Systems Engineer with proven experience in supporting enterprise web applications and software development teams. A successful candidate will need to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of cloud technologies and object orientated development activities.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or IT related field, or the equivalent combination of or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
• Experience: 15+ years
• Required Technical Skills:
• Ability to design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems
• Experience in developing software using languages such as Java, Python, C++ or Ruby.
• Excellent programming skills to ensure the proper interpretation and implementation of code.
• Experience with DevOps/Platforms: Amazon Web Services (S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, etc.), Docker, Ansible. 
• Documented experience with open-source technology, software development and system engineering.
• Demonstrated experience utilizing DevOps tools, such as GitHub and Jenkins, to enable continuous integration and continuous delivery
• Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
• Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements and cost efficiencies.
• Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with customer best practices and guidance.
• Demonstrated experience working with Agile Scrum based development team. 
• Interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on customer needs
• Strong understanding of web services, API, REST.
• Demonstrated experience working with Agile Scrum based development team 
• Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Desired skills and abilities:
• Familiar with Assessment & Authorization process and associated artifact collection process
• Working knowledge of CloudFormation, Terraform and Lambda.
• Familiar with containerization tools used, like Docker, Kubernetes, and any orchestration platforms.
• Location: Herndon, VA
• Candidate will be required to be on-call on a rotating basis
• US Citizenship Required
